Easy Travel Snack Pack

I’ve got an Easy Travel Snack Pack for you today featuring some of my favorite snacks for on the go.

Raise your hand if you traveled a lot this summer. {raising hand} My summer seemed to be busier than normal. I took a few trips that required airline travel but I was also in the car a lot. Like a lot. Now that I have a new car, and one with air conditioning, I am eager to hit the road.

Splitting my time between Austin and Lubbock is hard y’all. I go back and forth a couple times a month, at least. This month it will be three times with a road trip to Dallas thrown in too. The Austin to Lubbock route is 5 1/2 hours easily. Six if I make a lot of stops. I used to make it in less time but after I took the Citizen’s Law Enforcement Academy, I seem to have lost my lead foot.

For as long as I can remember I’ve always carried snacks with me when I travel. On the plane you never know when you’re going to get stuck on the tarmac and you don’t want to see me hangry. I actually saved a woman’s life once on the plane by giving her snacks. She was about to get sick from hunger and I quickly gave her some snacks. It’s what I do. On these long road trips, instead of stopping for snacks along the way, I like to pack my own treats.

At first I would buy these little containers at the grocery store that had a mix of cheese, fruit and nuts for a ridiculous amount of money. But then I decided just to make my own. It’s so simple to do too! Not to mention a lot less expensive and better for you than stopping and getting something at the store or gas station. Just find a little container to store everything and pack your favorites! You can find everything needed for your snack pack at Walmart.

Here’s a little help to save at the grocery store. Click here for the Ibotta savings. You’re welcome!

Earn $1.00 cash back with purchase of following combo, exclusive at Walmart.

  • Lorissa’s Kitchen™ Premium Protein Snacks – Any variety – 2.25 oz. bag
  • Honest Tea® – Any variety – Single bottle only
    • Both products must be purchased on the same receipt to receive credit for this rebate

My Easy Travel Snack Pack for my road trips usually consist of the following:

Lorissa’s Kitchen Beef Jerky
Pecans
Pistachios
Monterrey Jack Cheese
Crackers
Grapes
Honest Tea® Organic Honey Green Tea

It’s easy to pack up, keeps everything neat and tidy and you have a variety to choose from. Fill it with your favorites and you are ready to hit the open road, or skies.

I love Lorissa’s Kitchen Beef Jerky because they come in different flavors to choose from, are high in protein, low in carbs, low in fat, have no preservatives, no added growth hormones and no added MSG. And they’re Gluten Free which I know some of my family members will enjoy. My favorite is the Korean Barbecue Beef brand. Yummy! I always carry a selection of drinks on the road too –  Honest Tea Organic Honey Green Tea, my favorite Coca-Cola soft drink and bottled water.  I like the tea because they are just a tad sweet. With Lorissa’s Kitchen Beef Jerky and Honest Tea Organic Honey Green Teas it’s better for you, better for your snack and you can maintain a better lifestyle and live an amazingly delicious life while one the go.

What are some of your favorite travel snacks?

Hurray for traveling! Although it can wear you down after a little while. Snacks and drinks from home are always the perfect way to keep things fun!

I'm not sure how long ago I got it but I was there a couple of weeks ago and noticed they had the same style of boxes. Here's a link on Amazon to a box I found that is similar - but has characters on it. http://amzn.to/2zr01D5. Bento also has some similar ones: http://amzn.to/2gt5bak. Hope that helps!

I've never had a problem carrying on snacks on the plane before. Drinks I've had to throw out or drink before security but you can buy it inside the terminal.
