Horchata flavored Overnight Oats are an easy, tasty way to start your day on your way to a New Year, New You!

Are you a resolution maker? I’m more of a New Year, New You type person and work on new habits that will help me make better choices throughout the year.

One of those new habits I am working on is eating a healthy breakfast. The only problem with that is I don’t have much time in the morning because I am definition of a non morning person. Seriously. Whatever I eat has to be quick and something I can take with me as I’m running out the door.

Horchata Overnight Oats

I have seen so many friends and family members posting their overnight oats recipes that I knew I had to give them a try. This Horchata Flavored Overnight Oats recipe is my new favorite go-to recipe for breakfast on-the-go. I used Silk Almond Milk and it gives the oats a wonderful taste. I love that it is dairy-free! This tasty breakfast is the perfect start to a better lifestyle.

The flavor came to me because my grandmother used to make us horchata as a special treat. I remember it being a comforting dish and the smell just brings back fond memories of mi abuela.

Horchata Overnight Oats

One of my friends at work has been an inspiration to me because she has completely changed the way she eats. We talked about these overnight oats and I had to take them to her because I knew it would help her stay on track as well. She’s become a fan as well!Horchata Overnight Oats In store

While I was at Walmart getting everything I needed to make a batch, I picked up both the Silk Almondmilk and Silk Creamer. I love their Almondmilk because it has a wonderful nutty flavor plus with no cholesterol and no saturated fat it’s perfect for a healthier lifestyle. The creamer is going to be a great for my coworkers to help them stay on track to a healthier new year. And that caramel added goodness! They’re going to love it.

This looks easy and delicious! Question, instead of a cinnamon stick can I add ground cinnamon? I have that on hand now and don't want to run to the store for a cinnamon stick. ;) Thanks! Can't wait to try this! :)

Did I miss something? You don't have to heat it or cook it after it sits for 6-8 hours or overnight?

Hello. No, you didn't miss anything. The oats soak up all the liquid overnight so they are soft and don't need cooking. I haven't tried them heated up but you could definitely try it if you like your oats warm.
