Maple Cranberry Brie Bites provide a sweet appetizer for your Christmas family dinner. The maple syrup and pistachio bits bring another flavor to round out the cranberry.
Today I’m sharing a recipe that my family will be having this year, Maple Cranberry Brie Bites. They come
My niece is the biggest cranberry sauce fan I’ve ever met. We’re talking straight out of the can sliced up. Over Thanksgiving, my mom and I had to go back to the store because we forgot the cranberry sauce. That would have been a disaster. The girl is crazy for it. My poor mom even dreamt about us forgetting the cranberry sauce when she took a nap the last time I was home.
Every year we have the traditional (for us) Christmas meal of turkey and dressing. I’ve tried to change it a couple of times but my sister tends to like the traditional so we stick with that. I do too, but every once in a while I like to incorporate new things to the meal.
This year I decided to make the family an appetizer ahead of our Christmas meal and I have incorporated Cranberry Sauce with it. I’m hoping my picky niece will love these too. These are a take on the maple Pecan and Brie Bites I made last year. Oh those things were delicious! And these are just as tasty.
I love these Maple Cranberry Brie Bites because they are so adaptable. I made half with honey and pecan piece and while I loved those too, my favorite was the maple flavor with pistachio. I tried to bring in some green with the red but if you are not a pistachio person or don’t have maple syrup on hand (I always have a jar), then mix it up and make it your own. Also, I have found that making these in a mini muffin tin make it easier for the little fillo cups to stand up properly. Just use a knife or toothpick to gently wedge them out and onto a serving platter.
