Gaby’s Quinceanera

June 24, 2015 By denise Leave a Comment

This past weekend was my cousin Gaby’s Quinceañera. For those of you not familiar with it, a Quinceañera is a traditional Mexican celebration when a young girl turns fifteen – kind of like a Sweet Fifteen celebration. It signifies her going from being a girl to a woman and starts with a celebration in church followed by a party.

Look at that dress! Princess-worthy. Gaby looked absolutely stunning in her dress. She had another one for the dance but I, unfortunately, did not get a picture of her party-dress.

My cousin Colleen (Gaby’s mom) did an amazing job with the party. I mean seriously. It was so much more than I could have even imagined. And I was privy to her secret Pinterest board for the party!

She planned every little detail of this Disney Princess themed party to perfection. Everywhere you looked there was something else Colleen had handmade to go along with the theme. She poured all her love for her little princess into this party and it showed. My jaw literally dropped when I walked in the room to check out the decorations. Being a Disney Princess themed party, there were little touches of Belle, Jasmine, Cinderella and Ariel all over the place.

The night was capped off by the sweetest speeches from Gaby’s mom and dad that had me in tears. The entire day was filled with love for this sweet girl.

And the sweets! Oh my goodness they were so good. I was charged with picking up the mini-cupcakes the day of the party and of course I snuck a peek in the box. I couldn’t wait to try them and they were just as good as they looked. There was a Sweets Bar, a chocolate fountain and several different varieties of mini cupcakes and petit fours. I am going to try and recreate the Tres Leches petit fours because my niece Sydni loved them.

I just had to share this magical party with you because it was beautiful and deserves to be pinned!
