Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

September 20, 2014 By denise 2 Comments

Once the weather gets a little cooler here I get so excited because that means comfort foods for me. Anything I put in the crockpot is comfort food to me.

I put this pork in to cook right before the start of the football game on Sunday and by the end of the game my stomach was rumbling with the smells coming out of the kitchen. I literally stood over the crockpot eating it because the flavors were so good.

Give this pulled pork recipe a try the next time you don’t know what to make for the game or Sunday dinner.

Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

Ingredients:

Juice of 2 Large oranges
2 Tbsp Honey
2 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
1/4 c apple cider vinegar
1 tsp minced garlic
1/2 c light brown sugar
1 1/2 lb pork sirloin roast, boneless
Vegetable oil

Rub:
1 tsp Onion powder
1 tsp Garlic powder
1 tsp Smoked Paprika
1/2 tsp Black pepper
1/2 tsp Salt

Instructions:

In a small bowl, combine the rub ingredients and mix together.

Drizzle about a teaspoon of vegetable or canola oil on all sides of the pork and rub it in.

Sprinkle the rub over the pork.

In a medium bowl, add the orange juice, honey, Worcestershire sauce, apple cider vinegar and brown sugar. Whisk together.

Place the pork in the slow cooker and place on high. Drizzle the wet mixture over the pork. Cover and let cook for 4 hours, turning once halfway through cooking time.
