Today was another lazy Saturday so I needed to make something for dinner that was doable from what I already had on hand. I knew I could make a Hobo packet but wanted it to taste a little differently so I went to the Reynolds Wrap website to get some foil packet ideas and adjusted their Beef Patty with Mushroom Gravy recipe to what I had on hand. My adjusted recipe was so good. The patty tasted like meatloaf and the cream of mushroom soup added a nice texture to the meal. Definitely a keeper for a simple and quick meal.
Beef Patty in Mushroom Sauce Foil Packet
Ingredients:
1 lb lean ground beef
1/2 c. ketchup
1/4 c. Italian style bread crumbs
Salt, pepper and garlic powder to taste
1 can (15 oz.) cut green beans, drained
4 small red potatoes, diced
11/2 c. baby carrots
1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup
3 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Reynolds Aluminum Foil, four sheets
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 450°F. Combine ground beef, ketchup, bread crumbs, salt, pepper and garlic sauce together. Form into four patties and place one on each foil sheet. Combine vegetables, soup and sauce. Mix well. Scoop 1/4 of vegetables and sauce around each of the patties. Bring foil sides up and double fold the top, then roll up the sides to form a packet. Repeat for all packets. Place on a cookie sheet.
Bake 35-40 minutes or until veggies are tender.
