These Chocolate Overnight Oats are the perfect on the go healthy breakfast to keep you filled through the morning.
I don’t know about you but during our lockdown, I found there were two types of people. One set got healthier and one set ate their feelings. I am among the set that ate with my emotions and then a year in said, ok let’s get this together. It may also have to do with the doctor scaring me. But ever since then I have been trying to eat healthier. I have been making these Chocolate Overnight Oats since I went back into the office. They are super simple to make the night before and can easily be adapted.
For some reason I am always running out the door so to be able to have something on hand ready to just grab and go is essential for me. You can put these together the night before in less than three minutes and then just grab it in the mad dash to the car.
These Chocolate Overnight Oats can easily be adapted as well. I have made them with almond milk, Fairlife Salted Caramel and Core Chocolate milk. The added chocolate milk is my favorite because it just adds a great taste to the oats and who doesn’t love chocolate in the morning. You can add spices like cinnamon or vanilla extract, different types of berries or fruits. The possibilities are endless.
Sometimes I add strawberries when I’m making them or top them with strawberries and bananas before I eat them. I also love the addition of Lily’s chocolate chips. The more fiber and protein I can add in to this dish, the better it is for you health wise. I also like using the Core chocolate drink because it adds protein to the oats to offset the carbs. The chia seeds and flax seed add fiber. And all together it’s delicious and quick.
