Take time to enjoy time with family and friends at Saltgrass Steakhouse this holiday.
The holidays are upon us folks. This year I said I was going to start decorating for Christmas in early November and here we are with Thanksgiving around the corner and I haven’t made a dent yet.
I can tell it’s going to be a busy holiday season once again. No matter how far in advance I start planning, it always seems to just whiz by super fast.
But one thing I make sure to do during all the craziness is spend time with family and friends. Spending time with those I care about helps to relax me and just bring a sense of calmness during all the hubbub of the holidays.
At work, whenever we have something big to celebrate, we always head to Saltgrass Steakhouse for lunch. Every. Time. And it is something I look forward to whenever I know it’s coming up. This last time we were there I saw that the restaurant had a frozen Crown and Coke on the menu so I knew I had to come back to try it out. Don’t miss it as it’s only on the menu until September 2018.
So when I want to get together for a quick catch-up with one of my gal pals last week I suggested Saltgrass because I knew what I wanted. Days later we were still commenting on how wonderful everything was! From the drinks, to the food, to the service – it was all exceptional.
We started off with the aforementioned Frozen Crown and Coke and let me just tell you this drink was phenomenal. The Frozen Crown and Coke is a limited time offering at Saltgrass Steakhouse. For $2.00 guests can add a topper of Crown Royal Deluxe, Crown Royal Maple, Crown Royal Regal Apple or Crown Royal Vanilla.
I added the Crown Royal Maple to it and even though it was a frozen drink, it warmed me right up. It tastes just like a Coke slushee with a little kick to it. Perfection. I can’t wait to head back there and try it again.
There is a variety of appetizers to try so we started off with the Range Rattlers™. These little bites were a hit. If you haven’t had them, they are Jumbo jalapenos, shrimp, Jack cheese, and cilantro cooked together and served with their tasty ranch dressing. Yummy!
We each then had their steak and shrimp combo and it was unbelievably delicious.
The steak was cooked just the way I like it and there was juiciness and tenderness in every bite. All the steaks are grilled over an open flame, and I love that the steaks are topped with their garlic steak butter. It just adds to the amazing flavor of the steaks. The shrimp was dredged in coconut and the perfect pairing for the steak.
For my two sides I ordered a Caesar Salad, my go to salad, and a baked potato. I love a good Caesar Salad and the one at Saltgrass never disappoints.
Can we just talk about the potato for a minute. My friend Letitia and I both raved about how soft and tender the potato was. I just can’t seem to get mine to taste as good at home. It’s great every time I order one from here.
Believe it or not, we saved room for dessert and ordered their seasonal pumpkin cheesecake. Oh my. If you’re a pumpkin fanatic like me, you need to try this out. The cheesecake was extremely creamy and the crust was the perfect combination for the dish.
I hope I’ve enticed you to take some time out for yourself this holiday season and enjoy a night out with your significant other, girlfriends, best guys, or even by yourself.
