My name is Denise and I have a problem. I put pumpkin or pumpkin spice in everything. Everything.
I know some people don’t like pumpkin and when I hear that it baffles my mind. But then I don’t like Broccoli or Asparagus so I’m sure that baffles some people too.
One of my favorite treats to eat is Rice Krispie Treats so, of course, I had to add some spice to it to make them full of fall. That little kick of pumpkin and cinnamon is the perfect combo. I finally had to pack them away and take some to the gals at work to stop myself from eating the entire dish full.
Pumpkin Spice Rice Krispie Treats
Ingredients:
3 Tbsp butter, plus more for buttering dish
4 c mini marshmallows
1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
3 c Rice Krispie cereal
Instructions:
Melt butter in a large soup pot over medium heat.
Once butter is melted, add marshmallows. Stir until marshmallows are melted.
Add in the pumpkin and cinnamon. Stir to combine.
Add in the Rice Krispie cereal. Stir to combine.
Spread butter over a 9×13 (or smaller if you want thicker treats) dish. Pour in the Rice Krispie mixture.
Smear butter on your hands and lightly pat down the treats. Let cool then cut and serve.
Enjoy!
