Sometimes you just need a crescent roll. For dessert.
I’d like to say it’s not, but this is quite frequent in my house. Usually it means Nutella and Chocolate Chips rolled up and baked to perfection. We will even get wild at times and slather on some Jelly on top of the Nutella.
But with all these delicious peaches available this summer, I have been meaning to see how the peaches would taste rolled up in crescents. Think a simplified peach cobbler or peach turnover. It’s such a simple concept and can be done quickly when you need just a little bit of sweetness to end the day. Throw in some vanilla ice cream and it’s a perfect summer treat.
Peach Crescent Roll
Ingredients:
1 can Pillsbury Crescent Rolls
1 white peach, peeled and cut into 8 slices
1 Tbsp melted butter
2 Tbsp white sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
Dash of ground nutmeg
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Roll out the crescent rolls and separate into 8 triangles. Lightly brush the melted butter on the crescent triangles.
In a small bowl, mix together the sugar, nutmeg and ground cinnamon. Sprinkle some on the top of the crescent rolls. Add one peach slice to each crescent triangle. Sprinkle a little more of the sugar mix on top of the peaches.
Roll up the crescents as you normally would. Sprinkle a dash of the sugar mix on top of the crescents. Bake for 12-13 minutes.
Serve with ice cream.
