The Fourth of July is my birthday but that doesn’t stop me from cooking for it. And since I am not versed in outside grilling, yet, when I saw this crockpot recipe that will make BBQ chicken I said “thank you!”. Quick, easy, simple and I can make it inside away from the heat. Yes, please.
What better way to celebrate the freedom we have than by getting together with my family and enjoying a nice BBQ lunch and fireworks.
God Bless America!
(slightly adapted from stick a fork in it)
1 1/2 lb skinless chicken breast tenderloins
1 bottle Sweet Baby Ray’s Original BBQ sauce
1/4 c Balsamic vinegar
1/4 c brown sugar
1/2 tsp garlic powder
Salt and pepper, to taste
In a medium bowl, whisk together BBQ sauce, balsamic vinegar, brown sugar and garlic salt.
Season chicken with salt, pepper and Montreal seasoning.
Place chicken in crock pot and pour sauce directly over chicken. Cook on low for 4 1/2 hours (or up to 6 hours).
