Gooey Pork Chops

March 24, 2010 By denise 3 Comments

I was off today so I spent the day watching Food TV and surfing the Internet for recipes. Here are two I found — they were so good! I love pork chops and this was so tender.

I found the gooey pork chops on the Weight Watchers Message Board and the potatoes and green beans from www.kitchen-parade-veggieventure.blogspot.com.

Gooey Pork Chops

Ingredients:

4 porkchops (boneless or not depending on your taste)
1 can 98% FF Campbell’s Cream of Mushroom Soup
1 packet Lipton Onion soup mix
Worcestershire sauce
Garlic powder
Onion powder
Black pepper

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Line a 9×13 baking dish with foil. Sprinkle chops with spices. Place chops in pan, baste with generous amount of Worcestershire sauce, including pouring some in the bottom of pan. Cover with soup. Sprinkle onion mix on top of soup. Cover with another piece of foil and crimp ends together.

Bake at 350 for 1 hour

“Best Ever” New Potatoes & Green Beans

Ingredients:

Water, enough to cover both the potatoes and beans
1 tablespoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon sugar
1 pound very small red potatoes, washed well, skins on
1 pound fresh green beans, stem ends snapped off, broken in half or thirds if long
Garlic to taste (1 TBS minced garlic from a jar, or maybe a clove or two of fresh garlic, minced very small)
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
Additional salt to taste

Start with bringing the water, salt and sugar to a boil while prepping the potatoes. Add the potatoes as soon as they’re prepped, cover and let cook until nearly done, about 20 mins. Add the beans, return to a boil and cook for about 7 minutes or until the beans are well-cooked but still bright green. Drain. Return to the hot pot and toss with garlic and butter. Add salt if needed.
