Yes, Nutella Pizza is a thing. I first heard about this phenomenon on Twitter years ago and I immediately went and made it.
Things have been a little stressful lately and when I was in the grocery store over the weekend, I grabbed a jar of Nutella and asked the bakery attendants to please get me some of my favorite pizza dough out of the freezer. Stress calls for comfort food. Boredom calls for comfort food. Happiness calls for comfort food. And this is why I am on Weight Watchers. Everything in moderation folks.
This pizza is so easy to make and can be an entire meal in itself. Or so I’ve heard. Ahem. This is more of a how-to than a recipe so you can make a small one, like I did, a large one, two or as many as you want.
So the next time you need a little something something to get you through a tough day, go ahead and put this together. You’ll love it.
Strawberry Nutella Pizza
Ingredients:
6 inch pre-made pizza crust
1 Tbsp melted butter
1 Tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 c Nutella
6 Strawberries, hulled and sliced
2 Tbsp Confectioners Sugar
2 Tbsp Semisweet Chocolate chips
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Drizzle melted butter on pizza dough. Mix together sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle on pizza dough.
Bake pizza dough according to package instructions. For me that was at 375 for about 10 minutes. Check a few minutes before time is up to ensure dough isn’t burning.
While dough is still slightly warm, spread Nutella on top of dough. Place sliced strawberries on top. Using a dusting wand, sprinkle confectioners sugar on top. Melt chocolate in microwave in :30 second increments. Drizzle chocolate on top of strawberries. Enjoy!
** There is an affiliate link for the dusting wand because you need this in your kitchen. I received one at a food blogging conference and I LOVE it. It’s small for jobs just like this and it’s adorable. Amazon pays me a teeny tiny commission if you click on the link and purchase it.
