Football season is my absolute favorite time of year. Yes, football has made its way into an actual season. It’s not just the game, it’s what it represents to me. In my home, I’ve always watched football with my dad. Watching our favorite team was always a sacred time and one we always looked forward to.
The start of the season is a big deal and we commemorate the beginning with great food. This year I anticipate going to more tailgate events so when planning what to make for the first game, I was looking for a slider I could make at home or for tailgating.
This El Yucateca Hot Sauce I picked up at Walmart is the perfect addition to kick up the flavor of traditional BBQ chicken sliders. The tangy sweetness of the barbecue sauce is paired with the spicy flavor of the hot sauce which has green habanero peppers, garlic, select spices and seasonings. Together they make the perfect sauce for these small bites and you get that little kick of habanero in the sauce. Depending on how spicy you like it, you can add barbecue sauce to the chicken once the chicken has come of the grill to make it just a little more spicy. Go ahead and make these at home or on the go for your next tailgate party.
How would you add a little El Yucateca Hot Sauce to your next tailgate get together?
