Chocolate & Nutella Covered Fritos

August 19, 2013 By denise Leave a Comment

Yum! Doesn’t that title alone make you want to eat these little morsels of goodness?

Recently my niece and I took my nephew to guitar lessons and she talked me into going to a sweet shop next door. And when I say talked me into it, I mean she said chocolate and I said ok.

While gazing through all this little place had to offer I came upon a glob of chocolate and asked what that was. When the cashier said chocolate covered Fritos, I had to stare at it a while. Who would have thought of that?! Of course I bought one and we proceeded to eat it outside. I promptly walked back in to order another one. To share of course.

When I was deciding what to make for my friend/co-worker Kristin’s wedding celebration at the office, these immediately came to mind. They are so simple to make and so unbelievably amazing. I added Nutella because when don’t I add it to kick up a recipe a notch.

Go ahead and give them a try.

Chocolate & Nutella Covered Fritos

Chocolate & Nutella Covered Fritos

Ingredients:

Baker’s Dipping Chocolate Tub, microwaveable
Nutella
Fritos

Instructions:

Prepare a cookie sheet by adding wax or parchment paper on top. Set aside.

Melt chocolate in the microwave according to directions. Add about 2 Tbsp of Nutella to the melted chocolate and mix together. Add in some Fritos to the chocolate mix and gently toss to coat.

Place the chocolate covered Fritos on the wax paper in bundles. Once you have finished coating the Fritos and have set them on the wax paper, place in the freezer for 10 minutes to set. Transfer to the refrigerator and store overnight.

* Note: This makes about six bundles depending on how big you make them. You can also add chocolate chips to the same tub and melt in the same fashion. Repeat with Nutella and Fritos.
