Recently I was sent a sample of Little Soya Premium Soy Sauce to try out. I couldn’t wait to give this a try especially when I found a chicken teriyaki recipe to try using the samples. That is one of my favorite dishes but one I don’t make often enough at home.
The soy sauce added a great flavor to the dish and made it have a deep rich taste. Another plus, it’s gluten free which a lot of people are having to watch these days.
The packaging the Little Soya Premium Soy Sauce comes in is probably the cutest packaging I’ve seen in a while. It comes in little plastic fish and each fish has about 1 Tbsp in it. I do hope they have plans to have it available in a larger size for baking purposes. For single serve use though, the packaging works.
I gave a few samples to a friend of mine because her husband loves soy sauce. He gave this brand two thumbs up.
Crock Pot Chicken Teriyaki (recipe slightly adapted from Lake Lure Cottage Kitchen)

1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup Little Soya Premium Soy Sauce
2 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
1/4 tsp ground ginger
1/4 tsp minced garlic
dash black pepper
1 1/2 tsp cornstarch
1 1/2 tsp cold water
In a small bowl, whisk together sugar, soy sauce, vinegar, ginger and black pepper. Add chicken to slow cooker. Pour sauce over the chicken, cover and cook on low for 3-4 hours.
Once chicken is cooked completely, remove from slow cooker. Add liquid to a small saucepan. Bring to a boil. In a small bowl, mix together cornstarch and water. Add to boiling teriyaki sauce and stir. Turn off heat once sauce thicken.
Serve chicken on white rice. Pour teriyaki sauce over chicken.
Full disclosure: Little Soya Premium Soy Sauce provided me with samples of their product. The views expressed are my own.
