Pumpkin Swirl Brownies

Decadent brownies swirled with a pumpkin cheese cake filling make these the perfect Fall dessert.
  • 1 cups plus 2 Tbsp granulated sugar
  • ½ cup all purpose flour plus ½ tsp, divided
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¾ c unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¾ c semi sweet chocolate chips
  • Pumpkin swirl
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup pumpkin puree
  • 2 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp pumpkin spice
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  1. In a medium mixing bowl, add sugar, ½ cup flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt, butter, eggs, and vanilla. Mix together. In a measuring cup, add chocolate chips and ½ tsp flour and toss to combine. Add chocolate chips to brownie mixture and fold in.
  2. Prepare a 2.5 quart baking dish (or larger dish) with parchment paper. Spread brownie mix in baking dish.
  3. In a small bowl, add cream cheese, pumpkin, spices and egg. Whisk together until creamy and lumps are gone.
  4. Place pumpkin mixture in lines (or dollops if you prefer) on top of brownie mixture then swirl with a knife.
  5. Bake at 375 for 45-50 mins.
