Oh, I can’t believe I forgot to share this sandwich with you guys. Back in May I was part of the Buddig Taste Challenge and entered this little sandwich as my entry.
Unfortunately I didn’t win but this sandwich was a hit with the gals at the office. When I’m away from my family, these ladies, or my neighborhood firemen, are my taste testers.
These small batch sandwiches would be a great item to serve when you’re all snuggled up watching football all day on Saturday and Sunday. Or double or triple the recipe to make them for a crowd.
Is anyone else as excited for me that it’s time for football season!! I just want to scream it from the rooftops. FOOTBALL SEASON IS HERE!!!
Ok, so now you have another item to make for your next gathering.
Ingredients:
- 4 Hawaiian rolls
- 4 tsp Boursin cheese
- 1 (2 oz.) pkg Buddig Original ham
- 2 slices mild Swiss cheese
- 2 1/2 Tbsp butter
- 1 Tbsp Brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp Spicy brown mustard
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
Instructions:
Slice rolls in half. Spread a teaspoon of Boursin cheese on bottom half of roll. Fold two slices of ham and add to each bottom half of roll. Cut Swiss cheese in half and place on top of ham. Place top half of roll on top of Swiss cheese to form a slider.
In a small saucepan, melt butter. Once melted, take off heat and add brown sugar, spicy brown mustard and Worcestershire sauce. Whisk together.
Place sliders in a loaf pan. Pour as much sauce as you like over sliders. Cover with foil and let sit for ten minutes.
While sliders are resting, preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Place covered loaf pan in the oven for 12 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 2-3 minutes to brown rolls.
