Cheddar Sausage Balls
Ingredients:
1 lb pork sausage
2 c biscuit baking mix
2 c Kraft shredded sharp cheddar cheese
Instructions:
Remove pork sausage and cheese from refrigerator and let come to room temperature.
Once pork and cheese are at room temperature, preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
In a large mixing bowl, add pork sausage and biscuit mix. Using your hands, mix together until incorporated. Add in cheese and combine with pork mixture.
Use a medium cookie scoop and form mixture into balls. It will seem like the mixture won’t hold together, but once you get the balls in your hand, they will form.
Prepare a large baking sheet by placing foil on bottom of cookie sheet. Spray with Pam spray. Place sausage balls on cookie sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes. Drain on paper towels if there is residual oil. Makes about 35.
Variations: You can add in a few tablespoons of whole cranberry sauce or place a small piece of mozzarella cheese in the middle of a ball and wrap mixture around the cheese.
