I love me some peach cobbler. I’ve written of my love for it before so I won’t do that again, but trust me I love it. So I wanted to mix things up and try a new combo for my cobbler.
This recipe has been around the internet for a while – in fact you can also make it sans the butter and instead with a can of Sprite, Cherry Coke, etc. to make it Weight Watchers Friendly. You can also put it in the crockpot for a few hours instead of the oven.
I’ve done the Weight Watchers version but I wanted to try it this way. And I’m glad I did. This cherry chocolate combo works and makes this dessert have a touch of decadence.
If only I would have had some ice cream it would have been perfect.
Ingredients:
2 – 21 oz cans Lucky Leaf Cherry Pie Filling
1 – 16.5 oz box Duncan Hines Swiss Chocolate Cake Mix
1 stick butter
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Spray a 9×13 baking dish with Pam cooking spray. Spread both cans of cherry pie filling in the baking dish. Sprinkle the dry cake mix over the cherry filling.
Cut the butter into small cubes and dot them over the cake mix.
Place pan in the oven and bake for 30-35 minutes.
Enjoy!
