Sunday early afternoon I was looking through Twitter and saw this tweet from @EatThisNotThat for a pork chop marinade.
Immediately I knew I’d be making these bad boys for dinner since maple syrup is one of my favorite ingredients to use when cooking. Add that to the fact it was only four ingredients and it was a no-brainer.
The marinade was simple and infused the chops with a hearty maple flavor. It made me long for fall so much that I braved the heat and made cornbread dressing to go along with these. But they would be just as good with some grilled vegetables.
Maple Dijon Pork Chops
Ingredients:
6 bone-in pork chops
Salt and pepper
1 c Pure Maple Syrup
2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp Apple cider vinegar
1/3 c Dijon mustard
Instructions:
Season the pork chops with salt and pepper.
Add remaining ingredients together and mix until thoroughly incorporated. Place the chops in a large baking dish or a large Ziploc bag. Pour marinade over chops and let set for 1 hour.
After letting chops marinade, preheat oven to 350 degrees. Heat a grill pan on high. Sear chops on both sides in grill pan. Place seared chops in a baking dish and top with some of the leftover marinade. Finish baking in the oven for 20-30 minutes.
