I like to consider myself a hamburger aficionado. As I’ve written before, I try them wherever I go. There is nothing better to me than a big juicy piece of meat.
I’ve been on the hunt for a burger that when I bite into it, I’m thinking this is it. This one comes close in its simplicity and juiciness. It is just a bite of goodness.
The recipe is one I saw on a Hidden Valley television commercial but I added an egg to bind the meat together.
Ranch Burgers
Ingredients:
2 lb. lean ground beef
1 packet Hidden Valley ranch dressing
1 egg
Salt, pepper and garlic powder
8 hamburger buns
Butter
Instructions:
In a bowl, mix together beef, dressing packet and egg. Mix with your hands until combined. Season with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Separate meat into 8 balls and then form into patties. Make an indentation with your thumb in the middle of each patty.
Spray a grill pan with Pam spray then heat the pan on high. Cook each patty until cooked thoroughly or to your liking, careful to turn only once.
Using the same pan, grill the hamburger buns to warm them up. Spread butter on the bun then place on the grill pan and heat.
