Last week when I saw Bridget over at Bake at 350 had made Nutella Filled Frenched Tortillas I knew I wanted to try them. Let me tell you these were heavenly.
You know my obsession with Nutella and Maple syrup so this fit perfectly with those two ingredients. I’ve never had Nutella as a sandwich or on a tortilla so I was curious to give it a try.
I was short on tortillas and bread and was not going to the grocery store so I settled for one tortilla and one piece of bread and cut them both into fourths. I would definitely make these again and maybe add sliced bananas to it — my favorite was the tortilla over the bread.
Nutella Stuffed French Tortillas
Ingredients:
1 egg
2 Tbsp milk
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp Ground cinnamon
1 flour tortilla
1 piece white bread
Butter
Maple syrup
Instructions:
Cut tortilla and bread into fourths. Spread Nutella on two pieces of each tortilla and bread. Combine with other pieces of tortillas and bread to make mini sandwiches. Whisk together egg, milk, vanilla and cinnamon.
Heat up a pan and add a pat of butter. Dip both sides of mini sandwiches in the egg mixture. Cook for 2-3 minutes in the pan; flip and cook the other side.
Sift powdered sugar over top and serve with maple syrup.
